Boca Raton Divorce Lawyer

Alan Robert Burton, Attorney at Law, brings over 40 years of experience as a Boca Raton divorce lawyer to men and women throughout South Florida. I have built my practice by providing a personal touch so that I can dedicate my full attention to the needs and concerns of every client. I believe in maintaining a high level of communication, working one-on-one with you to keep you fully apprised of all developments in your case, as well as your options moving forward.

To set up a free initial consultation, contact me or call me at (954) 229-1660 or my cell at (954) 295-9222. My email address is alan@alanburtonlaw.com.

I work closely with men and women at all stages of a divorce proceeding, from the initial filing of their divorce petition through negotiated settlements or trial.

I help clients resolve all matters related to or arising out of a contested or uncontested divorce, including:

  • Parenting plans and time sharing (formerly known as child custody and visitation): I will help you establish and put in place time-sharing and visitation agreements that are in the best interests of your minor children. I will also work to protect your rights as a parent, so that you can maintain a meaningful relationship with your children.
  • Child support: I will review all proposed support orders for compliance with Florida guidelines and to verify that all relevant income is included in the calculation.
  • Alimony or spousal support: I will help you determine whether alimony is warranted and, if so, the appropriate amount, frequency and duration of payments.
  • Equitable distribution of marital property: I will work with you to successfully divide the debts and assets of your marriage, including real and personal property, bank accounts and investments, 401(k)s, retirement accounts and business property.

In my more than four decades of practice, I have handled many complex divorce cases involving clients with substantial assets, including multiple residences, extensive investment portfolios, 401(k)s, retirement accounts, professional practices and family businesses.

I also prepare separation agreements as well as modification or enforcement petitions of existing divorce decrees.
